I ENCONTRO INTERNACIONAL DE REINTEGRAÇÃO CROMÁTICA DE BENS CULTURAIS

No dia 19 de Outubro de 2013 irá decorrer no Porto, Portugal, na Igreja de São José das Taipas, o I Encontro de Reintegração Cromática de Bens Culturais.

O Encontro terá a duração de um dia com entradas gratuitas. O evento irá reunir comunicações de diferentes especialidades da conservação e restauro: património edificado, pintura, escultura, documentos gráficos, entre outras. Mais informações em www.arvore.pt.

InArt2013 conference, Evora

Call for papers

This first International Conference on Innovation in Art Research and Technology will be held at the University of Évora between 10th and 13th of July 2013. This event intends to bring together specialists working in the field of Conservation Science and Applied Researches and Technologies for Conservation of Cultural Heritage from all around the world. 

As an interdisciplinary platform of dialogue and dissemination of scientific results, this conference will also welcome professionals, academic staff, early stage researchers and students from art history, museology, archaeology, architectural conservation and practical conservation field. Special attention will be given to innovative techniques, tools and products from Surface/Nano-Science and Environmental areas and to novel dissemination/Outreach strategies and tools for Scientific Conservation.

All interested participants may submit proposals for oral communications or posters.

The proposals should be in the form of a written abstract, in English (one page). These should be sent in doc or docx format, until 15th of February 2013, to inart2013@uevora.pt according to the template available on http://www.inart2013conference.uevora.pt/files/template.doc 

Accepted abstracts of papers and posters will be published in a Book of Abstracts, to be delivered during the conference and to be made available online after the conference.

Accepted oral presentations will be published in two Special Issues of the International Journal of Conservation Science and Conservar Pátrimonio, according specific instructions to be found on the website of both journals.

Curso sobre Análisis científico para el estudio y catalogación de Obras de Arte: casos prácticos, técnicas y metodología


Ya podeis incribiros en el Curso sobre Análisis científico para el estudio y catalogación de Obras de Arte: casos prácticos, técnicas y metodologíaque tendrá lugar entre el 29 y el 31 de octubre en la Escuela de Patrimonio Histórico de Nájera.
 
Este curso tiene por objeto la actualización sobre las técnicas de análisis empleadas para el estudio de bienes culturales, así como sobre la
metodología aplicada por los diferentes profesionales que desde sus respectivos ámbitos se dedican a esta actividad. La información técnica, que requiere la colaboración interdisciplinar de diversos especialistas, a menudo se elabora y contrasta con criterios científicos en los departamentos de conservación y restauración, lo que hace posible evaluar el estado de la obra objeto de estudio, diagnosticar posibles patologías y determinar los tratamientos más adecuados.
El curso se centrará en los estudios aplicados a pintura, escultura, fotografía, artes decorativas e indumentaria.
 
El plazo de inscripción finaliza el 22 de octubre.

2ª Jornada de Biolimpieza de Obras de Arte y Bioconsolidación del materiales pétreos


Las bacterias permiten la consolidación de materiales pétreos y la limpieza de ciertas patologías presentes en obras de arte. Siendo estas metodologías rápidas, específicas, respetuosas con la obra de arte a tratar y no tóxicas ni para el restaurador ni para el medio ambiente.
Esta jornada mostrará una visión de conjunto acerca de las novedosas técnicas de Biolimpieza de obras de arte y Bioconsolidación de materiales pétreos, contando con los pioneros en el campo a nivel europeo.

Estas Jornadas han sido financiadas por el Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad

Uma pintura que se crê datar de 1609 foi submetida a sete meses de trabalhos de recuperação e está até meados de julho em exposição em Roma, antes de regressar à Sicília
A cidade de Roma pode agora ver A Ressurreição de Lázaro, obra de Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (1571-1610) que se crê ter sido pintada em 1609, quando o pintor teria 38 anos de idade. Após a conclusão dos trabalhos de restauro, que se prolongaram durante sete meses, a pintura está agora em exposição no Palazzo Braschi, na Piazza Navona até meados de julho, altura em que será devidamente acondicionada e transportada de regresso à Sicília.
Esta não foi a primeira vez que o quadro foi submetido a trabalhos de restauro. Numa conferência de imprensa citada pela BBC, a restauradora Anna Maria Marcone adiantou que uma das tarefas mais difíceis dos trabalhos se deveram ao esforço envolvido para reparar os estragos feitos durante um primeiro restauro, que data de 1670.
